Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) - TBLT Language Learning Task Bank

Do you use tasks in your classroom? Do you sometimes get stuck for ideas?

Martin East is excited to announce a new initiative of the International Association for Task-Based Language Teaching (IATBLT) - the TBLT Language Learning Task Bank.

What is the Task Bank?

A central hub for teachers and researchers interested in sharing language learning tasks. You can access the Bank through the IATBLT Website

Who can download Tasks?

Everyone! Please share widely with your communities.

Who can upload Tasks?

Currently only members of IATBLT are able to submit tasks for publication on the site, but the IATBLT is looking into a facility for non-members to upload tasks for a short period. Details of membership can be found HERE

A Task Bank Advisory Board will provide feedback on each task before it is published, offering a collaborative service to the field, and ensuring that every task on the Task Bank meets the definition of a task.

Martin is well-known to many in the New Zealand languages community as a longstanding Executive member of the New Zealand Association of Language Teachers (NZALT).  He is also currently President of the IATBLT.  He has produced a short (5-minute) video to introduce the IATBLT and the Task Bank – it is available here:
