Sustainability of Languages and Request for Information from Universities
During the GROW programme this year with the teachers in the cluster I support, we discussed Sustainability of Languages. One of the thoughts teachers had was how valuable it would be to have a handy and recently-produced resource to pass on to students, whānau and careers advisors which explains how languages can not only be studied as a major at university, but also how they can be taken as a minor subject within various degrees.
The Centre for Languages would like to gather information on this topic. We welcome information from staff members of universities and other organisations who could help us by pointing us in the best direction for this information. We hope this will help encourage students to begin or continue language learning at tertiary level.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able and willing to help out in any way.
