The Chinese community is strong in Latin America and Spain; this workshop aims to create closer links between China and the Spanish-speaking world. In this workshop, we are using Spanish and Chinese cooking to deepen your understanding and knowledge of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and widen your lens to language teaching in the 21st century.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn how to make a traditional Latin American confection 'Aljajor' (workshop is done in Spanish).
- Learn how to make Chinese dumplings (workshop is done in Chinese).
- Explore the link between China and the Spanish-speaking world.
- Increase awareness of how to develop students' cultural intelligence.
The workshop is open to all language teachers in the Auckland and Wellington areas.
Morning tea will be the food created during the workshop. Lunch will be provided. Please state dietary preferences on registration form.
