Overview

This workshop is for teachers who want to gain a better understanding of the features of learning and teaching Chinese language from an English learner‘s perspective, directly addressing the common statement that “Chinese is too difficult.”  

Challenges to developing Chinese literacy and their implications for teacher’s planning will be discussed and some strategies of how to approach teaching of pinyin, characters, tones/intonation etc. will be shared.

This workshop is open to all NZ registered teachers currently teaching, or interested in teaching, Chinese.
